  • 1 semester at a community college = 1 year of high school credit

  • Community college courses are weighted for an extra point on your GPA (5 points instead of 4)

  • Take UC/CSU approved courses that can be transferred to the university you attend post high school, possibly saving your family a significant amount of money.

Additional Information
  • Classes requested cannot interfere with your core class schedule and should be sceduled after school or online.

  • Consider taking courses you are interested in and are in fields of your potential major, that way you can get a feel for if it is something you will want to pursue in college.

  • Students will be responsible for finding and paying for their own textbooks.

  • Students who enroll in 6 or more units will be required to pay the Transit/Health fee of $42.29, giving them access to the Unlimited AC Transit EasyPass for the semester.

Transcripts

  • Once you complete a course at the community college, please ensure Ms. Celeste has a copy of it so it can be added to your
High School transcript. See THIS VIDEO for instructions on how to access your unofficial transcript.

  • When you apply to college, you will need to send an official transcript to the college where you will be enrolling.
